First, the CD's I refer to is the 1880 Census CD's for the entire US
that was compiled and transcribed by the LDS church. I have heard it
took 10 years and also heard 17 years to complete. I believe there are
56 CD's in the total package. It only cost $49. You can order it from
their site at www.familysearch.org if you are interested.
Looking at your name, I only find one with that spelling in Buchanan and
he appears to be laborer probably living on the premise where he works.

I got no hits at all on the Twohig spelling in Buchanan but looking at
the whole state I found that name in Boone County.
