If you have or can access a copy of the "Index of Deaths from St. Joe
Gazette 1868-1880," I would greatly appreciate a look-up. My great-great
grandmother, who would probably appear as Victoria Pickering, died in
Buchanan County in July of 1877.

Victoria went by her middle name - even on her marriage license - but just
in case, her true first name was either Elizabeth or Eliza. Her maiden name
was Orndorff. She was born in the late 1840s in what was then Virginia and
is now West Virginia.
