I am just beginning my search on Sallee family history, and am not sure we are talking about the same William Sallee, but here is some info that I have on him....if our ancestors match, please forward me any info you might have. I have preceeding history as well. William Sallee was born to Joseph Maxey Sallee and his 2nd wife Jemima Isabella Thompson b. 8-6-1838. William taught school in Iowa and boarded with the Seymores. I show he met and married his wife there in 1882. They moved to Mt. Moriah, MO. I only have documentation on one child born, Pearl (there may have been more). Pearl married Joe Dill in 1921, and lived in Bethany, MO. Pearl and Joe had 3 children, Vern, Diane and Helen.....more info avail.
