Dear Keith,

Thanks so much for the information on the Andersons. I am very sorry I haven't responded with the information I promised you some time ago. I simply have not had time to get it done. Have been run ragged since first of April. We spent nearly all of April in Missouri and in May we had graduation of a grandson and company from Wisconsin and just had company from California leave. In between we sandwiched in a trip to South Dakota and Kentucky with our sister and brother-in-law and I have had to do some serious house cleaning in between all that and now we are hosting the Hammons family reunion in another week. On top of that we still live on a working farm and have garden and orchard that need attention. We are retired--Ha, Ha. What 's that?? Every year we think it will slow down and every year it gets more hectic. Rest assured I have not forgotten you. After this reunion I hope things will slow down to a slower pace. I will get the information out to you.

I never hunted down the Andersons. Yes I did know that Henry was in Brush Grove Cemetery. It is also known as the Potts Cemetery so should you in sometime in the future hear someone mention Potts Cemetery you will know what they are talking about. We lived for several years just three miles west of Fair Play on highway 32. Henry was not the direct ancestor of my husband but Henry was the elusive brother and I have hunted for many a day for information on him. Our direct ancestor was his sister Priscilla Woods who had a child out of wedlock, Oscar Woods, my husband's grandfather. Priscilla eventually married Henry Smith and they had a batch of kids and most landed up in Oklahoma.
We know who the father of Oscar was but its a sore subject among the family members and but for the grace of an Uncle confiding the information to his daughter before he died we still would not know anything beyond Oscar and his mother.
So please be patient with me. My word is good only sometimes it takes awhile to get me in front of this monster and do something with it. I had to recover my computer in May and still do not have all of it re-installed.

Bless you and I do thank you more than words can say. I will be in touch.
Marie
