The owner, Henry Trowbridge Kelsey, listed his occupation as "Nursery Man & Fruit." That would explain the produce and strawberries you mentioned!

In addition to the nursery south of town, I also found this:
Given Name: Henry T.
Surname: Kelsey
Occupation: Kelsey & Co.
Residence: r ns Atchison, bet 13th & 14th

Also, I found this one and now I can't tell if the 13 & 14 st. address would have been a residence or office. What do you think it was?

What I've been trying to do is link my grandfather, Frank Kelsey Morris to these Kelseys but I can't find the connection yet. His family was Kelsey and I can't think of any other reason why he would have moved to St. Joseph and list his occupation as Nursery Man, too. (The trials and tribulations of genealogy research!)
