John Burton's mother is my great-grandmother, Sarah Jane. I would appreciate information regarding John's descendants, if any, as they may give clues to determining Sarah Jane's date and place of death. I'll be happy to share what I've learned about John's parents to date. It's my understanding Sarah likely had three more marriages and three more children after John's father, Gibeon/Gideon Burton, was killed in the Civil War.
