I have just received my copy of, "A Fond Look Back." By: Robert Manns

Robert has done extensive research on the history of Butler county.
He has tried to touch on each phase from the beginning to early days, and
development of Butler county.

Mr. Manns writing shows his desire to bring the history of Butler county to
life.
Butler county MO, has some rich history, although, much ignored in history
books.

He mentions several settlements which have now gone.
There is reference to many families who once lived in Butler county.
Most still have descendants there.

For those of us who went to school in Butler county in the 1940 - 50's many
of the subjects/ people we are familiar with.
