Dixie -
I don't have anything on anyone - my research has only recently begun. I did
check a little on the surnames you listed. I'm wondering if they actually
resided in Camden County. The 1850 census for Washington Township, Osage
County, Missouri shows:
Alexander Willis 38 M farmer born KY
E. Matilda 28 F KY
Mary I 14 F KY
William H. 13 M KY
Milton W 12 M KY
Louisa A 10 F KY
Benj F 8 M KY
Mary J 9 F KY
Edward 7 M KY
Alexander Walley 74 M KY

next dwelling has:
Edward Cox 23 with Mary Cox 21 and James A. Cox 1

I didn't find any one I felt was an obvious match to your James Cox Crawford
without having a better idea of his age. Osage County is also in Mid -
Missouri. I also checked the 1880 census for Missouri. Found a Jmaes Cox age 26
living next door to James Crawford age 35.

Are you sure Wright Crawford resided in Linn Creek or is that just the
location of his death? It was a point where the steamboats loaded/unloaded and had
many folks who would have just been passing through.
