Hi Cape Girardeau Researchers,
I am new to the list. Does anyone have any information on a Richard Newkirk
that was listed in the 1840 and 1850 Cape Girardeau census? I believe he
was a minister as he married our gggrandparents in Cape Girardeau Co. in
1854. He was also listed in SToddard Co. census in 1860. May have been
father or brother to a Martha Newkirk married to William Tippet. I am
researching the Tippets in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Wayne and Stoddard
Counties and believe there might be a connection. Thanks for any help.
