Does anyone know if there were any medical schools in the area during the years of about 1820 to 1833?
Or would someone have just studied under another doctor and learned that way?

Also, where would one find a listing of doctors in during that time period. The census for that time period would not have shown an occupation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a Dr. Joseph Bennett in Cape Girardeau or surrounding area.
