Hi Joseph,
After studying your line and going over my information, I believe that you may be descended from John Ramsey b. 1790 Monongahela County, Virginia, who married Hannah Lorimer. John is the son of Andrew Ramsey and Eve Wright. The birthdate would be about right. It is an unproven theory at this point, but it would support your family lore that you descended from Andrew Ramsey of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. Good luck on your search.
