Bill,
Have you checked out the "Missouri State Archives", you can find Charles W. Nixon's death certificate. Charles died October 17, 1918 and was buried October 18, 1918 in Sumner, Missouri. His parents are Morris and Margarette "Orr" Nixon.

Message Board Post:

I am looking for information on the family of Charles W. Nixon, born in Illinois in 1851 and probably died in Chariton County Oct 1919. Charles and wife, America Johnson had at least 8 children - Harry, Lattie B., John Thomas, Mathias H., Walter Henry, Lyle, Lilly, and Ada . One son, Walter Nixon was still living in the Mendon area in the 1930 census.

Another son Mathias H. Nixon is buried in Lakeside Cemetery. Anything you can tell me about this family would be greatly appreciated.
