Thanks a million.

This morning I spoke with Cora's Great Nephew Robert S. Prewitt. His mother was Cathline Belk. Cathline adopted the last name Belk. She was born Cathline Baker. Her mother was Laura Belk who married George Baker. It is not believed that George was Cathline's father as family talk has that Laura was a promiscuous woman and had many suitors. Robert was able to assist me my primary objective of giving my Cousin Edwin Belk Jr. a living relative to speak with.

His father Edwin Belk Sr. did not tell his children anything about his family. Ed Jr. knew very little based on pieces he was able to divulge from his father. He knew his father came from Missouri and that he had Aunts and Cousins there. He vaguely remembers visiting them in Missouri as a very young boy.

Armed with this little info, I was able to track down some info, but having spent over 60 years in the dark, Ed Jr. wants to know it all.

I'm delighted that I was able to connect him with Cathlines living Children. And the remaining is his other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He pieced from his father that he had an Aunt Cora and I found her in the Census. Thanks to your information we know more. Cathline's son Robert knew that Cora married a John and moved to Wyoming and that their son contacted his mother when Cora passed away and they made arrangments to have her body brought to Missouri for burial.

Thank you thank you thank you for helping me make an old man who has lived in the dark in knowing half his family. Anything else you can add would be fantastic.
