I think I'm understanding how you feel. I ended up having someone take a
bunch of my family history and put it on the web site. For those who are
dead, I didn't care. For those who are alive, it's sort of a "tender"
matter, for it gives maiden names, etc. If I were to find my great
grandparents (and didn't know where they were), I probably would have been
ecstatic, but wondered who the person was who knew about them. Then I'd go
seek that person out to see if they had MORE. But that's the genealogist in
me, I guess. And, as Connie quite appropriately mentioned, it does depent
upon the accuracy of the information. At least it gives those who do NOT
know anything about that person a place to start.
