Could this Jerry Holt for whom the town of Holt was named be the brother of Amelia Holt, born26 May 1809 in Guilford County, North Carolina, died 13 April 1879, Clay County, Missouri. Amelia's father was JEremiah Holt, born 1 October 1765 in Orange County, North Carolina. Amelia married Daniel Albright. Both the Holts and the Albrights had land grants in Section 35 of Kearney Township Range 31-W.

Would appreciate confirmation. Am still looking for McIntyres.
