"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Monday, December 29, 1902

St. Joseph, Dec. 28. -- Colonel Granville G. ADKINS, well known
throughout the state as a Democratic politician and office holder,
died at the Ensworth hospital this afternoon. None of his relatives
visited him during his illness and the body will be turned over to
the Monroe club, the local Democratic organization. So far as
known, none of the members of Colonel ADKINS's immediate
family is living, but several distant relatives live near Platte City.
Death was due to old age infirmities.
