Jeff, I have found an artical in the Kansas City Star, written in 1938 and one in 1933, total of about 4 pages. It tells how it how it got the name of Birmingham and something about the little town.I remember the hotel and the old church that was made into a barn after the flood in 1903. We kids played in the barn in the hay, hens would lay eggs and we would take them home. That was a long time ago.
Did you live in Birmingham? I could do a copy and paste and sent it to you if you would like it.
