He was admitted three times into Portland/ Salem insane assylums in the 1800's. He died there in 1897 and that is the info in the admittance records sent to my mother. Plus, I have found several cousins researching the same line and all have found the same info., 1830(possibly up to 1835) Clay county, MO. We don't know who his parents were. That's our brick wall.
