Seeking information Ref. Samuel Holman, his parents and siblings.
He shows up in Ray Co. in 1856 when he married Mary Emaline Fields. The
family is in Knoxville Twp. in the 1860 and 1870 census. These indicate
he was b. 1834/5 in KY. He is also listed in the 1870 census of
Productions Of Agriculture of Knoxville Twp.
In the 1880 census the family is in MO City, Fishing River Twp. of Clay
Co. but Mary E. is listed as head of household. The youngest child is
either five or eight yrs. old.
Have checked MO penitentiary records, Ray Co. jail records and many
census records but found no trace of Samuel. There is a
worldconnect.rootsweb listing for him showing him b. 1828 in KY, his
father as John and mother as Elizabeth. This listing shows his marriage
correctly but no source for the information given.
??Where did he go from Knoxville Twp. in 1870??
