John,

My father is buried in fairview cemetery in kearney. I have seen the name McGhee. Fairview cemetery is in town but it's on the outskirts on the northwest side of town. It's next to the Dagley home. It's not a large cemetery but it's large enough. Assuming your fairview is the same cemetery. You could easily walk it this cemetery in an hour or so.

John F. McGhee lived in Kearney and his death certificate states that he was buried in Fairview Cemetery; Leonard Dry was the funeral director. When I go online to find the cemetery, Fairview Cemetery is located in Liberty, MO. Is this the same cemetery? How can I contact the cemetery to find out where the headstone is, and get a photo (without traveling to Clay Co.)?

John's mother, Alta Rose McGhee lived with her son in Kearney, and her death certificate states that her burial was to be in Mt. Hope; the undertaker was C. L. Forster of Kansas City (presumably MO). I haven't been able to find out where Mt. Hope is.

Any help is appreciated!
