Does anyone have a copy of the letter that Robert James sent back
from California before he died? He went to the gold fields about
1849-50. Also, does anyone know with whom he traveled? My ancestor
went there at the same time, and I wondered if they traveled
together. They were both two of the 25 founders of William Jewell
college.
