Message Board Post:

Dr. H. I. Hester, a long time member of the church, consented to write the history of the church beginning in 1843. The early records of the church were destroyed when the Clay County Courthouse burned in 1857. Here are some of the surnames contained in the history: Hubbell, Stout, Cockrell, Minter, McCarty, Dabney, Williams, Collier, Moss, Trigg Thornton, Boughton, Croysdale, Darnall, Edwards, Bryant, McConn, Ringo, Wallis, Brashear, Tillery, Lightburne, Dulin, Lockett, and more.

Pastors with pictures include: William Thompson, H. M. Richardson, B. G. Tutt, Sam Frank Taylor, T. P. Stafford, F. W. Everhardt, Dr. Harry Bagby, Dr. Solon B. Cousins, O. R. Mangum, Forrest C. Feezor, Allen S. Cutts, Dr. W. C. Link, and George W. Sadler.

There is a list of the missionaries and twelve pages of short biographies of church members, but there is no index of surnames.
