Records show that the ferry that he and Elizabeth bought may have been
bought with her money. His father may have died early or the Ayres may
have been friends of the family. Do you have anything on David
Williams? He actually may have come from Shrewsbury, Mass. and may
also have given his name as Daniel.
In my husband's line, a number of Shrewsbury's descendants named
children after places that they had lived. I will check through and
figure out where I found out the North Carolina. Are you saying that
David ended up in Mississippi? Family lore has it that They were from
Virginia and had slaves. I will check my stuff and see what else I
have. With a name like Williams , Shrewsbury made it a lot easier to
research.
I am not a pro either, but I am a decent researcher and I like info on
extended family. Sometimes it supplies amazing answers. If you tell
me what you have for sure, I will keep an eye out.
Thank you so much for answering. Where did you find the info on the
indentured children? I don't think I've found that.
