I hadn't realized that Josiah Dickson was Catherine's father. I had meet
Anna Louise Stephens whose great grandfather was Joseph Stephens and her
grandfather was James Madison Stephens... she recognized many folks on my
family tree who were slaves of James Madison etc. On a separate note; some
of those STEPHENS and DICKSONS came to Yolo County, California... in fact
there is a DICKSON California. Those descendants of course, are related to
Catherine.

I asked about the REID possibly being spelled REED -- because the REEDS are
on Pleasant Green which would be down the road from Cloverfield... the home
of James Madison Stephens etc.

There is also a WALLER connection... which picks up when you check out the
ancestry of John Walthal Robertson... from Chesterfield, KY. The Cooper
County WALLER would be -- I think James Robinson Waller? My memory is a
little slow today.. but those WALLERs are a part of a further crowd of folks
from Orange, Caroline and Spotsylvania VA. The Wallers married into the
JOHNSTON family which also picks up in Cooper and Boone Co., MO.. as they
married into the BASS, PAYNE, HICKMAN and HUTCHINSON families...all of whom
were neighbors to the STEPHENS and DICKSON families.

Another Cooper County researcher recently sent me an inquiry about his
ancestors who were slaves of John Walthal Robertson and his possibly his
father Walthal Robertson. Walthal Roberston first married a Francis Cox and
then Ann Cary. When I started to check in on the CARYS I discovered that
they had married into the STEPHENS family.. looks like a couple daughters of
Joseph Stephens and Rhoda Cole and/or Catherine Dickson. I'm don't recollect
if Rowena and Maria were daughters of Rhoda or Catherine. In any event --
they'd still be related due to their relation to JOSEPH STEPHENS tie.
