In Aug 1909, sometime between Aug 6th and 7th, my great-grandfather Simon P Loop visited his brother in Winston, Daviess, Missouri. I believe he was at his brother's home (Willam H Harrison Loop). He took a new revolver with him and while claening it discharged a bullet, hit an artery in his leg and bleed to death.

His body was returned to Oklahoma City around Aug 9, 1909 for burial. I'm looking for any kind of record showing release of his body, news articles or death certificates. I have already searched Missouri and Oklahoma online vital statistics with no results.

I do have a copy of an Oklahoma obit on my public Tree. Does anyone have information which can help in my search?
