Subject: [MODUNKLI] Loss of Carlisle County KY Courthouse and 55 tombstones!

For those who have ancestors who may have once lived in Carlisle Co KY, 55 tombstones were damaged and/or destroyed Christmas Day. I'm not sure as to which cemetery but from a message I received it appears that the cemetery may be called Carlisle Cemetery.

Furthermore the Carlisle Co KY courthouse was a total loss yesterday (Dec 26th). Records were in fireproof vaults, but some things such as equipment and artifacts were lost. Rerports indicated that in order for the firefighters to reach the fire that the building had to be cut in half. No word as to the cause of the fire. That county lost its previous courthouse in 1980 via arson.
