If the Roy Hamilton in 1930 was being held on state or federal charges, the court case file would likely be held at the Missouri State Archives or National Archives Federal Records Center. If it was a lesser charge, there's a good chance the records would remain in Dunklin County.
I'd recommend contacting the local courthouse in Kennett. They should house the archives of old court case files; if not, they can usually point you in the right direction.

In case you don't already have it, Roy Hamilton's death certificate is available on the Missouri State Archives' website: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/
It states he was born about 1909 in Indiana. His profession was listed as gangster. He died August 30, 1935 having been executed by the state of Missouri.
It sure does look like these two men could be one in the same.
