Yes, usually arrangements are made ahead of time as they are buried in the same grave and the grave must be dug deep enough to allow for the burials. Also dependent children may be buried in the same grave as well. My aunt and uncle are buried in the same grave in Arlington National Cem. and my cousin who died way back in 1958 was buried there first, then my aunt in 1997 and finally my uncle in 2003. My mother and father are buried together at Riverside National Cem. and my sister who is defined as a dependent adult child will be buried with them. Contact the nearest national cemetery and I'm sure they can fill you in on the details.
