Hi,
I'm not a resident of Owensville anymore and I never was a member of
the Liberty Church, but my best friend lives just this side of Bland, MO. and
he and I have spent a little bit of time visiting the cemetery to photograph
some markers. I was there last November, and I noticed that it appears the
Congregation has built a new church building on the South side of Hwy 28 not to far
from the old Liberty Church building. I will send an email and ask him to get
the mailing address and post it here as soon as I get it. As far as I know
they were indeed Baptist.
I will be making another trip in Oct-Nov to visit with my daughter and
will again spend time with my friend. If you like I will again make the offer
to photograph any markers I can for you. Just give me the names you are
looking for and I will be happy to take some pictures and if you give me the
mailing address I will send you the prints or give me an email address that you
prefer and I can send scans or digital pix as I have a digital camera as well. It
would not be a bother as I plan on reshooting a particular marker again to try
and get the best lighting. The cemetery is not too big and right on the route
to my friends house. You can contact me direct at or just
