I had to look in the atlas to find out where Buchanan
County is. I live in Springfield and know it is no
where near here.
Buchanan County is north of Kansas City. I believe it
showed that St. Joseph was the county seat. The
Library Center and the Ozarks Genealogical Society
library both have a lot more information about the
counties in Southwest Missouri.
I checked the online catalog for both libraries.
There is not much here. The Library Center has a
little bit, a history and a couple of census books.
The Ozarks Genealogical Society Library has one book.
You can search here for the names of the books.

You will definitely want to plan a trip to Buchanan
County. You will find a lot more material there than
you would find here.
