ATTENTION; CAIN DESCENDANTS!

On March 8th, WALLACE "BUD" CAIN, turns 95 years old. For those of you CAIN descendants out there, it certainly would be a wonderful gesture for us cousins to send him a little, "birthday surprise", greeting card! His address is: Wallace "Bud" Cain, Rt. 1 - Box 55, Van Wert, Iowa, 50262
Uncle Bud's the last living child in the following line from Harrison County, MO. He was the baby of the family, born March 8, 1906.

Uncle Wallace "Bud" Cain's parents were:
JACOB T. CAIN, (b.1862) and ALURETTA BROWN, (b.1865).
and Jacob's parents:
JOHN L. CAIN, (b.1838) and LYDIA ZIMMERMAN, (b.1842).
and John's parents:
ALEXANDER CAIN, (b. abt 1800), and CATHERINE LYON, (b. 1806).
and Alexander's parents:
DANIEL CAIN, (b.abt 1785), and TEMPERANCE VANNOY.
and Daniel's parents:
PETER CAIN, (b.1740), and CATHERINE.....

The nickname of "Bud" has been passed down from generation to generation in this CAIN line. Little Wallace "Bud" Cain, (at age 4) went with his parents from Cainsville, MO., to St. Josephs, MO. in a covered wagon to visit his Great Uncle PETER "BUD" CAIN, (b.1842), and Peter's wife, CHARLOTTE HART, (b.1853). While there, his Uncle Peter said, "Wallace, how would you like to have the family nickname", and little Wallace answered, "sure"......and so his Great Uncle Peter "Bud" Cain gave little Wallace the family nickname of "Bud"! From that day on until today, he's been known as, WALLACE "BUD" CAIN.......

Thanks everyone!
Mimi~
