Message Board Post:
Tami, Your Lily Ann (Lilyann C.) BROOKS (b. 1814) is a sister to my
3GGrandmother, Celia L. BROOKS (1820-1897) m. Owen Peter BURD of Hart Co., KY. They
were two of the 16 children of George and Editha TURPIN BROOKS. Around
1850, they moved from Hart Co., KY to Harrison Co., MO with at least 10 of their
children. My Celia did not go with them. Editha died in 1852 and is buried
in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Blythedale in Harrison Co. George came back to
KY and died in Hart Co. two years later (1854) of kidney disease.
I did not know who your Lily Ann married until I read your post. I have
been searching the census records for Harrison Co., MO and wondered how the
NEVILLES of KY were connected to the other families from KY.
I am interested in learning more of your information on the BROOKS side
since I only had a year for Lily Ann's birthdate from the census records.
