The Polk County Genealogical Society is planning a new family history book. The southern half of Hickory County was taken from Polk County in 1845. If you have family in that part of Hickory County before 1845 and are interested in the book you may contact either Bunny Jones at or me at for more information. Each household can contribute 500 words and one picture for no charge. The deadline for submission and preorders of the book is July 31, 2002. More information can be sent to anyone interested.
