Caroline Co., Va. They then went to Southampton,N.C. Names comes up in
several Deed Books . They then went to Madison, Washington and Hardin
Counties in Ky. My sibling stayed here in western KY. There are several
Thorpes in Mo. One of this Thorpes from Madison Co., Ky. Greenberry(yes
correct) was involved in the making of Holt Co. Mo. One William Thorp was a
minister and farmer in Mo. Wish I had more than my memory to rely on for
the ones in Mo. My line/ Charles Thorp B: abt.1700 in Caroline Co. Va. he
married Juda/Judith. Their son John married Sarah Terry. John has a brother
William and a Sister Elizabeth. Hope this will give you something to work
with. Also several Thorp's applied in Mo. for proof of Indian blood.Land
grants. Found some info. William Thorp b: 1/29/1776 in Va. D: Clay Co. Mo.
Married Frances Owen abt:1793 in Madison Co., Ky. Their Children Are John
1796,Martha,1798, William Jr. 1802, Jo!

John and Green Berry helped form Holt Co. Mo. about 1841. Holt Co Seat is
Oregon zip is 64473. Also Dodson Thorpe is with this family line and
went to Mo. Jackson Thorp b: 7/6/1799 in Madison Co. Ky. D:11/1849 in
Howard co . Mo. He is buried Thorp farm Howard co. Mo.
