Just as I thought your genealogist means Howard county began in 1816 when
she says " Howard county records began" If we had had an 1816 census
these past 40 years, The State Historical Society surely would have told
us old researchers of it. Anyhow, I do see a John
Vanderpool buying land in Boone County ;in 1826. in the Boone County
original land purchasers' book
