Hello - here are some things I have on the Prices of Va & Jessamine Co., Ky on to Howard Co., Mo..........

From what I have William Price (d 1808 & m Mary Cunningham) and John Price, Jr (m 1. Elizabeth Redd Major & m2 Susannah Gano) were brothers. John Price, Jr by deed below stated he lived in Franklin Co., Ky. The "Jr" is on his marriage bond.

See my earlier posts for records of John Price wife Elizabeth & Alford Williams whose wife was their daughter - from the Va. Genealogist & Lexington newspapers &c.

There are many deeds for this Price Family - here is one which outlines the heirs of John Price -

Jessamine Co., Ky. Deed Bk E, pg 272....dated 19 May 1817

deed to John Young and David Trimble, 500 acres on the Ohio River in Greenup Co joining the survey of Joseph Craig on the upper side.

Signed John Bryant, Mary Price, John Ficklin.

NOTE: See Index to the Ky Land Grants - Ky Historical Society to find grants to John Price, Alfred Williams, John Price Jr - for land that would fall in Greenup Co., Ky. when that county was created...thousands and thousands of acres. Land bordering the Ohio River & Big Sandy .... They never lived on this land.

He married 2nd in Fayette Co., Ky. Jun 18-3, Mrs. Nancy Porter, widow. John Bryant Sr was the son of Edmund Bryant who died in Fayette Co..and a brother of
Edmund Bryant Jr who died in 1823 in Jessamine Co., Ky. One of those biographries so popular in the 1880's said the brothers John & Edmund Bryant came from Culpeper. John, himself, wrote he was born in Spotsylvania..perhaps they moved to Culpeper before coming to Ky.
