Given limited time, can anyone recommend what my priorities should be for places to research Howard County records? I am thinking of the courthouse, and libraries in Fayette (public and at Central) and the genealogical society, plus trekking over to Columbia to the library there. Suggestions?

Also, does anyone know of anyone in or close to Fayette who would be interested in helping us research records (for hire)? I have found in the past that having someone familiar with the local records to be of tremendous help.
