Thursday, 14 June1928, Vol 42. No. 6, Page 1, Col. 2--DOUGHERTY-BAGBY--Mr.
Linley Dougherty and Miss Bernice Bagby, two of our popular young people,
were
united in marriage on Saturday, June 9, 1928, at the home of the
officiating
minister, the Rev. E. V. Lamb of Moberly.

The bride is the pretty and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Bagby of northwest of town and is popular among a wide circle of friends
and
acquaintances.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. WM Birch Dougherty of south of town,
and is one of our best known young men, having resided in Higbee for
several
years past, and is generally recognized as a most exemplary young man in
every
respect.

They will make their home in Marshall where Mr. Dougherty has a good
position in the shoe factory, and where he has been located since the first
of the
year.

The NEWS joins other friends in congratulations and best wishes.

Bernice Elizabeth Bagby is 97 & still alive in Dec 2005. She lives in a
nursing home in Guthrey OK . b:oct 17-1908, south of Huntsville. On the O.H.

Bagby farm where the Bagby Cemetery sets today.
Linley Franklin Dougherty b:12-3-1903 d:Dec 1982 in Bucklin MO. Linn CO.
His mothers name was 1882 Leona (Andrews) Dougherty 2 brothers 1 sister.

I do not have their divorce date
Bernice did not have any children. She remarried 6-30-1965 in Salisbury,
MO to WM. E. Hampton. b:9-17-1897. died Feb.1978, where they retired to,
Lebanon MO.
I do know that my aunt attended GS at the Carter School house.
Her hearing & eye sight has diminished but she can still recall names,
dates
& events that happened around Randolph/Howard CO.
