I was wrong.


*****NOTE: PHILLIP AND SARAH JOHNSON WERE NOT EVER IN HOWARD COUNTY,
MISSOURI.

Ancestry royally screwed up and indexed ALL OF THE TOWNSHIPS IN AUDRAIN
COUNTY AS BEING PART OF HOWARD COUNTY in the 1840 census only. I checked
this out completely before I came to this decision and there are zero
inhabitants listed in Ancestry's 1840 census index for Audrain County,
Missouri, something that is absolutely impossible. The townships listed as
being part of Howard are only half true, as half of them are townships that
were always part of Audrain (I looked at the maps). I started to get very
suspicious when I recognized the township names from the pages that I'd
downloaded as being part of Howard county. No county name was listed, but
all of the townships I knew were those from Audrain County.
