Mary,
I'm fascinated by your account of the Mount Pleasant
Church in your story of David Adams. Is this from a
book, or your personal research? I descend from the
Brooks family of Brooks Creek that you mention, and
also of Mount Pleasant Church. I have recently made a
trip to the church and cemetery, and learned that
several generations of our family were preachers at
this church in addition to the Adams family members
who served the Church. If this info is from a book,
I'd love to find out which one so I could try to get a
copy. I also took lots of pictures at the cemetery,
including some of the older Adams stones, and would be
