"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Wednesday, April 4, 1900

Mrs. Margaret BRODIE of 3412 Garfield avenue died
at the family residence yesterday morning from an
attack of la grippe. She was 64 years old at the time
of her death, and left a family of eight children, all of
whom were at home. She was the widow of J. M.
BRODIE, formerly a well known contractor and builder
of Wheeling, W. Va., where the family formerly lived.
They removed to Kansas City in 1884 and have made
their home here ever since. The funeral will be held
Thursday afternoon, and interment will be Elmwood
cemetery.
