Chuck,
Thanks very much for all the information.
Perhaps some of this information will be helpful to another searcher.
I was unable to reach the person with information online as the email address was no longer working, so I just left a message on Post A. Note.
I have been able to find lots of information on Tonie H. Ellerkamp. I found his WW l Army record, his burial information and his SS, it says he died in California. He was in the Missouri 12th Engineers in WW l and in the history it gives his address as 602 Bennington Ave. Kansas City, Mo.
Antone and Maggie (Luther) are listed in 1870 Vincennes, Knox county, Ind. with Joseph, born in Ind. Lots of Ellerkamps there.
1880 Little Rock, Pulaski, Ark.
She is listed as Maggie Luther,(no Antone) born in Cobentz and Joe, Lotta and John are listed as stepchildren.
Don't understand this, unless he married 2 different women name Maggie.
1900, Maggie Luther is listed with her father ????? Jones.
I can't find where I made record of that.
1900 Joseph Ellerkamp and shows wife as Bell.
Her name was Sarah Isabelle Hulsey 1st married to a Johnson.
They are list with Tony, Maggie, Mary and Thelma Johnson
1910 Lancaster county, Nebraska
Listed as Joe J. Ellerkemp, wife as Isabella
children Toni, Maggie, Mary.
!920 they are no where to be found using any spelling I could think of for last name, also tried checking by first names.
John H. Ellerkamp, brother to Joseph (Joe) is in Wharton county Texas
1910
Lotta Ellerkamp, sister to Joseph (Joe) is in Jackson county Missouri.list with her are
Gretchen Gerschner, daughter
Louis Gerschner, son in law
Maggie Luther, mother , born in Germany
I am really trying to find information on Sarah Isabella Hulsey Johnson Ellerkamps mother, Elizabeth Caroline Porter Walker Hulsey. The long way around.
She seem to have disappeared after visiting the Ellerkamps in 1893, sending letters back to her sister in Grayson county Texas, with address of 1702 Lincoln, Little Rock, Ark.
She is listed as a boarder there in the city directory under the name of Elizabeth C. Walker, widow of John.
Hoping to find a descendant that might have some information on her.
Again, Thanks so much for all your time and information.
Barbara
