The library at neosho has a GREAT Genealogy room and is just 20 minutes
south of Joplin on 71. Worth the trip. Been there and got to go back

I've found the genealogy room at the Joplin Library has much more
information than the LDS. I understand that they are short on staff these
days and are not open all the time as they used to be. You might want to
check that out in order not to miss them. They have a great card file, I've
found lots in that alone. Good hunting!
