To the best of my knowledge, James H Crawford was the first husband of my paternal Grandmother, Luretta Ann Henson (Crawford) (Graves) and he was a victim of Scarlet Fever while he and his family were traveling through Jasper County on their way West around 1895. I don't know where but was told it was near Jasper (the city) According to family, he was survived by his wife Luretta and children, Ed & Doshia Crawford who then returned to Hickory County, Missouri where Luretta later married Tacitus Clay Graves, from whom my Father and I descended. I would appreciate any suggestions or help anyone can offer in verifying this information.

TIA, Paul Graves
