I would like to contact any descendants of Henry Clay Cowgill and Alma
Stevens who came to Jasper County in 1868 from Clinton County, OH.
Their sons were Henry Stevens Cowgill and Lloyd S. Cowgill and their
daughter was Lillian P. Cowgill who married Charles Allen Blair. The
Cowgill and Hill Mill of Carthage was founded by Henry Clay Cowgill.
These families were prominent in Carthage and Joplin. I would also like
to contact any descendants of Curtis Brinton Wood and Lydia "Elva"
Stevens sister to the above Alma Stevens. They children were Edward L.
Wood, Walter Edward Wood, Curtis Leamon Wood and Anna M. Wood who
married Gus Watkins.
