There is a little community just about 4 miles east of Joplin, Mo. on old
Hwy 66 that is called Scotland.
Just a few houses is all that remains. As far as any cemeteries right in
Scotland, I"m not really sure.
Wish I could tell you more,
Greg

Jan. 30th 1887 4 miles from Carthage, MO. In some of his son's Pension
Papers it states that he was living in both Scotland, MO, and Carterville,
MO, at different times, of course, however, I have no idea where Scotland
was. Also, I do know he lived in Jackson Township, Jasper Co. MO for some
time. Does anyone suggest which cemetaries I might check??
