My grandmother, Nora Myrtle Sparks, was supposedly born June 6, 1886 in Webb City to John Richard (Jack) Sparks and Ida Alice Lewis. I have not been able to find any record of her birth.

I can find no record of Sparks in that area, other than that John Richard Sparks died there in November of 1906 at the age of 46 or 47 of consumption while he was staying with a brother.

Who were his parents? Are there any Sparkses left in the area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've hit a solid brick wall with this branch of the family.
