Searching for clues...
MISSOURI Stretch family
From:
Cathy PORTER-Maynard (from Minnesota)
Greetings:
I am looking for a STRETCH family that supposedly lived in SOUTHWESTERN Missouri during the early 1900's.
I believe they may have lived near the Joplin area -- or, in a neighboring community. It stands to reason that they may have been in Jasper (or, McDonald/Newton) County.
I have no idea if they remained in this part of the state; or, if they later moved to another location within Missouri.
I do not know if this branch of the Stretch family is connected to the St. Louis line; however, since I have so little information, I guess anything is possible.
The family that I am searching for had a son named John (or, Frank??) Stretch -- who was born sometime during the
1900 -- 1910 time period.
If anyone has any guidance or suggestions regarding the genesis of this
Missouri Stretch family, I would be tremendously grateful.
Thank you,
Peace & blessings,
Cathy PORTER-Maynard
