John Marion Motley and Elizabeth Page are also my 5g-grandparents, making us 6th cousins. Cool! I have all the information I have on them from other Motley researchers, including Larry Motley of the American Motley Association, and I will be happy to share. I've done my own work on more recent Motleys more closely related to me.

I'm descended from both their daughter, Sarah, who married Drury Smith, and their son, James Marion Motley, who married Laodicia Hopson.

Sarah and Drury Smith had Sarah Smith, who married John H. Motley, the son of James Marion Motley and Laodicia Hopson.

Sarah Smith and John H. Motley had several children, and I am descended from their youngest son, John William Motley. He also had several children, and my great-grandmother was his youngest child, Bessie Motley.
