This obituary appeared in the Joplin Globe on 2 November 1932
Funeral services for Lee V. Allen, 64 years old, employe of the
Eagle-Picher Lead Company twenty-five years, who died at 8:15 o'clock yesterday
morning in St. John's hospital, will be fconducted at 2o'clock tomorrow afternoon at
the Gospel Workers' Mission in Smelter Hill. The Rev. Dow Booe, pastor,
will be in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Galena. The body
will lie in state at the Huribut chapel until the funeral hour. Palllbearers
will be Lester Loy, Burt Watts, Willia Martin, C. H. Flenner, Ferrel Flenner
and William White. Surviving are one brother, John T. Allen of Compton, Calif.,
and two sisters, Miss Pearl Allen of Los Angeles and Mrs. Grace Vincent of
Witchita, Kan.
Would like to hear from anyone that might have a connection to Lee Allen.
